Re:      S.6519-A (Flanagan) AN ACT to amend the labor law, the general municipal law and a chapter of the laws of 2007, amending the labor law and the general municipal law relating to guaranteeing payment of prevailing wages to the works of New York State, as proposed in legislative bills numbers S.5506-A and A.8582-A, in relation to the payment of prevailing wages; and to repeal paragraph 1 of subdivision 5 of section 220 of the labor law and subdivisions 13 and 14 of section 103 of the general municipal law relating thereto

Dear Mr. Nocenti:

On behalf of the New York Building Congress, a broad coalition of the design, construction and real estate industry consisting of 400 constituent organizations representing more than 250,000 skilled trades people and professionals, I am writing to express our strong support for 6519-A.  This bill will strengthen enforcement of prevailing wage laws and we urge Governor Spitzer to sign it into law.

Sincerely,

Richard T. Anderson

President
