“As our city, state and nation continue to grapple with the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting economic turmoil, it is critical that our federal leaders pass a stimulus bill immediately. Any stimulus package must include aid for our city and state governments and essential entities like the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as well as provide further assistance to the American people and our small businesses. Significant federal investments in infrastructure during times of emergency have proven to have a transformative effect on our country, and we must follow that same blueprint now. The President and both houses of Congress must come together and ensure that the American people and cities and states across the country have the support they need. Now is the time to pass a stimulus bill and rebuild our nation.”
