Statement from Carlo A. Scissura in Response to the Passing of Hector Figueroa

"Héctor Figueroa was a giant not only in the New York City labor industry but across the country. His leadership helped thousands of New Yorkers achieve better for themselves and their families. Through his passion and humility, he ensured our city continues to be a leader for labor rights.

The New York Building Congress is forever grateful for his friendship and partnership and the incredible impact that he had on the building industry. We send our heartfelt sympathies to his family as well as the thousands of brothers and sisters of SEIU 32BJ.”
